Two-man exhibition by : Ana Barrioquinto and Gelo Narag
Isekai (different world or other world) is a genre of light novels, manga, anime and video games that revolve around a person who is transported to and has to survive in another world, such as a fantasy world, virtual world or parallel universe. As we discover more of ourselves, we gradually grew our views afar from each other into diverse dimensions. the space we have created from our differences – every brush stroke, pencil etchings, drawings, and our perspectives as visual artists made us realize that we are now unalike individuals. Despite having differences as artists, it created dimensions which made us view more of our own practice and work into different angles which makes our art more interesting and profound as well as it allowed us to have courage and motivation to make art out of our utmost interests.
Isekai is an exhibit of two individuals that has differences in their practice and perspective which are created from distinctive manners. The artists aim to elaborate their differences which can be used to understand more of themselves and their practice which is an essential manner to create and embrace their own art.
